Blackhawk has been stable in the community since we opened 20 years ago. CLIENT CARE SPECIALISTS

Warm, professional, and experienced veterinary receptionist or client care specialist. We would want this applicant to have previous veterinary experience in a hospital setting.

Client Care Specialists duties include:

• Superior customer service skills
• Love for people and animals
• Multi-tasking and organization
• works well under pressure
• Greeting clients
• Data entry
• Cashier duties
• Word/Excel skills
• Knowledge of Impromed
• Working knowledge of office equipment
• Scheduling

CERTIFIED AND QUALIFIED TECHNICIAN

We use our technician to their full skill potential. Strong multi-tasking and organizing skills a must.

Technical duties include:

• Anesthetic monitoring and drug dosing
• Laboratory skills
• Familiar with or certified in fear free techniques and restraint
• Surgical assistance
• Dental prophy
• Client education/marketing
• Injections
• Digital radiography and positioning
• Familiarity with Impromed, Abaxis, digital radiography, Cardell monitors(ecg, pulse ox, Co2 monitoring and blood pressure)
• IV catheter placement and venipuncture
• Exam room assisting

TECHNICAL ASSISTANT

Duties include:

• Fear free restraining techniques-radiology, aids in obtaining lab samples,
• Technical and doctor support-exam room preparation, patient care
• Lab techniques-running in-house lab test and sample preparation
• Hospital maintenance/cleanliness-surgery room preparation and maintenance, kennel/patient care, stocking
• Client communication
• Occasional reception duties
• Heavy organizing and multi-tasking skills a plus!
